Christmas at the Bad Windsheim Open-Air Museum

There is a very special atmosphere in the Bad Windsheim Open-Air Museum at Christmas time. Different Advent surprises await in every cottage. In one Franconian farmhouse parlour there is music and singing, in the next stories and poems are recited, potato gingerbread, lard bread and mulled wine are offered or Christmas decorations, handmade rugs or felt figures are sold.

A colourful Christmas market also awaits you under the mighty roof structure of the Alter Bauhof, a historic building dating back to the 15th century that shines in festive splendour and is home to Christmas delicacies and regional arts and crafts.
