Christmas market in the alleyways of Ochsenfurt

In the third weekend of Advent, the old town centre of Ochsenfurt is transformed into a huge Christmas market. A huge sea of lights illuminates the streets of the town and local traders offer Christmas goods everywhere. Mulled wine, bratwurst sausages, handicrafts and more are not only offered in normal stalls, but also in the alleyways and courtyards, kitchens and cellars.

A carpenter's workshop sells special pepper mills in the gallery in the old town hall, the Ochsenfurt Carnival Club serves Feuerzangenbowle and "dragon's blood" at the ford, a kindergarten offers gingerbread men and rum balls on the market square, jewellery is available in the traditional costume museum and honey products and white Franconian mulled wine in the courtyard of honour in the hospital. During your visit, you might even bump into the sugar fairy, the city's representative for an extra portion of love and happiness.
